• Men’s doubles matches, based on registered delegations

Structure & Format

• Total teams: 11
• Format: knockout stage, no group phase

Qualifying Round

• 10 teams drawn into 5 pairs
• 1 team receives a bye to Quarter-finals

Quarter-finals

• 6 teams → 3 matches

Semi-finals

• 3 Quarter-final winners advance directly
• 1 losing team with best performance will be added
• If tied → priority goes to team with higher total points scored, then a draw is held

Final & Third Place Match

• 2 Semi-final winners advance to the Final
• 2 Semi-final losers compete for Third Place

Set Rules

• Each match is played in 1 set only
• Set played to 15 points, court switch at 8 points
• If tied 14–14:
  • Play continues until a 2-point lead is reached, up to a maximum of 21 points
  • If still tied at 21 → winner decided by draw

Criteria for selecting losing Quarter-final team to advance:

• Point difference in the match
• If tied → team with higher total points advances
• If still tied → Organizing Committee holds a draw

Serving & Play Progression

• Underhand serve with contact made below the waist
• Diagonal serve: ball must clear the net and land in the correct service box
• Feet must not touch the baseline before the ball leaves the paddle
• Applies the “two-bounce rule”: both the receiving and serving teams must let the ball bounce once before returning; after that, volleys or groundstrokes are allowed

Scoring

• Only the serving team can score points
• A fault by the serving team results in a loss of serve or side-out
• Server position:
  • Even score → serve from the right side
  • Odd score → serve from the left side

Referees

• Referee team assigned by the Organizing Committee
• Ensures objectivity – transparency – fairness

Common Faults

• Serving into the wrong area
• Ball fails to clear the net during serve or rally
• Violation of the “two-bounce rule”
• Hitting the ball out of bounds
• Volleying from within the kitchen area
• Ball bounces twice before being returned
• Paddle or body touches the net before the rally ends
• Ball touches the player or anything they’re wearing
• Ball hits a fixed object before landing in the court

Forfeits & Time-out Rules

• Players arriving more than 10 minutes late will forfeit the match – punctuality is required
• Unjustified withdrawal results in an automatic loss
• Each match allows:
  • 01 time-out (1 minute)
  • 01 medical time-out (5 minutes)

Conduct & Penalties

• Uncooperative, unsportsmanlike, or disrespectful behavior will be penalized
• Appeals must be submitted within 15 minutes after the match
• Decisions made by the Organizing Committee are final
